A Lake for Every Profile
Val-des-Monts has over 200 lakes, but not all are equal. Some are large and developed, others are small and wild. Your lake choice will determine your ownership experience.
Lake McGregor
One of the largest and most popular. Clear waters, sandy beach and active community. Properties on Lake McGregor are among the most sought-after and expensive.
Lake Bernard
A popular lake for families. Moderate size, well-developed with a good mix of cottages and permanent residences. Easy access from the main road.
Quieter Lakes
For those seeking absolute tranquility, smaller, less developed lakes offer privacy and wilderness. Prices are more accessible, but winter road access may be less convenient.
What Influences Value
A lakefront property's value depends on: lake size and depth, water quality, orientation (sun exposure), bottom type (sand vs rock), boat launch access and motorized boating rules.
My Advice
Visit the lake at different times — a magnificent summer lake can be very isolated in winter. Talk to neighbors to understand the lake's dynamics before buying.
